Combination Bolts
Combination bolt is an efficient and active rock reinforcement system which provides temporary rock support by immediate mechanical end anchorage using expansion shell. It can be grouted later to improve corrosion protection provided by the polypropylene sleeve and steel surface coating. Once grouted, the combination bolt can be classified as a permanent support system. Steel surface coating consists of hot-dip galvanizing as per EN ISO 1461, zinc phosphating and epoxy powder coating.
Combination bolt has a hemispherical dome at the anchorage through which the grout can be pumped. The grout flows through the polypropylene sleeve which then flows out at the end of the sleeve and fills the annular space between the sleeve and the surrounding rock. The buttons transfer the load from the rock to the bolt and act as a centralized. Combination bolt is easy and fast to install & grout.
