Strands & Wire
PC strands or prestressed concrete steel strands are twisted steel cable composed of 2, 3, 7 or more high strength steel wires which are stress-relieved for prestressed concrete applications. Low relaxation properties of the strands ensure that there will be minimal loss of compressive force with passage of time. Strands & wire complies with BS 5896, ASTM A416 and prEN10138-3.Even though the common types in construction are 7 wire PC strands of tensile strength 1770 and 1860 MPa, we supply other strand grades as well. 2 or 3 wire strands are also available in our product range. Popular 7 wire strand diameters are 12.7, 12.9, 15.2, 15.24 and 15.7 mm.
For strand anchor applications, we use normal, super and compact strands.
